Recap - Worship Night 6 - December 16th, 2023

Pre-Christmas Worship - Prophecy Come to Life!

Thank you all for a wonderful nigth filled with fellowship, worship, and remembrance of why we are celebrating this Holiday -

The arrival of God, come in flesh, to save mankind!

Let the spirit of Christmas be embraced every month, every day, every hour of every year!

We started with a Reading from - God Came Near (by Max Lucado)

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!)

Read Part 1 - Chapter 1 - The Arrival.

Then read from the book - The Forgotten Jesus (by Robby Gallaty)

(HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!)

Read Chapter 4 - Pages 78-79 - The Significance of Swaddling

Discussed that God does not leave out any details when He carries out His Plan - specifically the cloth that Yeshua would be wrapped in for both His birth and death - swaddling cloths and the significance and history of it. Along with some very significant details on lambs used for passover and temple sacrifices.

Discussed what Messiah Yeshua, Christ Jesus, willingly gave up in order to fulfill God's redemptive plan of Salvation.

Phillipians 2:5-8 - (ESV)

Have this in mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And found in human form, he humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Then a quick read from the devotional - The Chosen Devotional - 40 Days with Jesus (book 1) (by Amanda Jenkins, Kristen Hendricks, and Dallas Jenkins)

Read a section from Day 10 - page 49

Discussing the foreknowledge of what Yeshua would be facing and His willingness and obedience to complete the Will of God. The Creator, becoming the created and subjecting Himself to all that comes along with it.

Finally and Most Importantly - Read from the Bible verses of Prophecy telling of the Messiah to Come! - Passages read from the following Books of the Bible - Isaiah, Jeremiah, Micah, Zechariah, Malachi

(ALWAYS - HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BIBLE ABOVE ALL OTHER BOOKS!!!!!)

Isaiah 53:1-12 (ESV)

Who has believed what he has heard from us?  And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?  For He grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He had no form or majesty that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.  He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed Him not.  Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned - every one - to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.  He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.  By oppression and judgement He was taken away; and for His generation, who considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people?  And they made His grave with the wicked and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, and there was no deceit in His mouth.

Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush Him; He has put Him to grief; when His soul makes an offering for guilt, He shall see His offspring; He shall prolong His days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.  Out of the anguish of His soul He shall see and be satisfied; by His knowledge shall the righteous One, My servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and He shall bear their iniquities.  Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the many, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because HE POURED OUT HIS SOUL TO DEATH and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 42:1-9 (ESV)

Behold My Servant, Whom I uphold, My chosen, in Whom My soul delights; I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.  He will not cry aloud or lift up His voice, or make it heard in the street; a bruised reed He will not break, and a faintly burning wick He will not quench; He will faithfully bring forth justice.  He will not grow faint or be discouraged till He has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for His law.

Thus says God, the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread out the earth and what comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: "I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take You as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.  I am the LORD; that is My Name; My glory I give to NO other, nor My praise to carved idols.  Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Isaiah 9:6 (ESV) -

For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9:7 (ESV) -

Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Isaiah 7:14 (ESV) -

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign.  Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah 11:1-5 (ESV) -

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from His roots shall bear fruit. And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

And His delight shall be in the fear of the LORD. He shall not judge by what His eyes see, or decide disputes by what His ears hear, but with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall kill the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His waist, and faithfulness the belt of His loins.

Isaiah 11:10 (ESV) -

In that day the root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a signal for the peoples - of Him shall the nations inquire, and His resting place shall be glorious.

Isaiah 35:3-7 (ESV) -

Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.  Say to those who have an anxious heart, "Be strong; fear not!  Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God, He will come and save you."

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.  For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

Isaiah 55:3-5 (ESV) -

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David.  Behold, I made Him a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander for the peoples.

Behold, You shall call a nation that You do not know, and a nation that did not know You shall run to You, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for He has glorified You.

Isaiah 59:20 (ESV) -

"And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression," declares the LORD.

Isaiah 61:1-2a (ESV) -

The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the LORDs favor,

Jeremiah 23:5 (ESV) -

"Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and He shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Micah 5:2-5a (ESV) -

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for Me One who is to be ruler in Israel, Whose coming forth is from old, from ancient days.

Therefore we shall give them up until the time when she who is in labor has given birth; then the rest of his brothers shall return to the people of Israel.

And He shall stand and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God.  And they shall dwell secure, for now He shall be great to the ends of the earth. And He shall be their peace.

Zechariah 9:9 (ESV) -

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!  Should aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having Salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey.

Zechariah 11:13 (ESV) -

Then the LORD said to me, "Throw it to the potter" - the lordly price at which I was priced by them.  So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD, to the potter.

Zechariah 12:10 (ESV) -

"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on Me, on Him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for Him, as one weeps over a firstborn."

Malachi 3:1 (ESV) -

"Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me.  And the LORD whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple; and the Messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, He is coming says the LORD of hosts.

And if it was't clear in all the prophetic passages Who it was in regards to... Jesus makes it very clear to us in Revelation!

Revelation 22:16 -

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches.

I AM THE ROOT AND THE DESCENDENT OF DAVID, the Bright and Morning Star!
